Micromagnetics of submicron „110... Fe elements

چکیده
The magnetization processes and the domain structure of epitaxial ~110! Fe submicron-sized elements are studied experimentally and with micromagnetic simulations. Magnetic force microscopy and Kerr magnetometry results are in good agreement with the simulations, thus allowing the development of a consistent picture of the micromagnetics of these systems. © 2000 American Institute of Physics. @S0003-6951~00!01805-2#

Micromagnetics of mesoscopic epitaxial „110... Fe elements with nanoshaped ends
The magnetization reversal and magnetic domain configurations of 0.5-mm-wide epitaxial ~110! Fe particles with rectangular and needle-shaped ends and competing magnetic anisotropies have been investigated. Magnetic force microscopy imaging and longitudinal Kerr hysteresis loop measurements in conjunction with micromagnetic simulations have been used to elucidate the basic micromagnetic behavior...
متن کاملRecycled crust controls contrasting source compositions of Mesozoic and Cenozoic basalts in the North China Craton
We explore Fe/Mn and Nb/Ta ratios of basalts as potential tracers for differentiating melts of recycled mafic crustal lithologies from peridotitic melts. Trace elements and Fe/Mn ratios of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic basalts from East China were analyzed by ICP-MS. Low Nb/Ta ratios (15.4 ± 0.3 (2r, n = 45)), high Nb and Ta contents (60.1 and 4.01 ppm) and high Fe/ Mn ratios (64.7 ± 1.5 (2r, n = 4...
متن کاملH-Matrix Techniques for Stray-Field Computations in Computational Micromagnetics
A major task in the simulation of micromagnetic phenomena is the effective computation of the stray-field H and/or of the corresponding energy, where H solves the magnetostatic Maxwell equations in the entire space. For a given FE magnetization mh, the naive computation of H via a closed formula typically leads to dense matrices and quadratic complexity with respect to the number N of elements....
متن کاملFEM–BEM coupling for the large-body limit in micromagnetics
We present and analyze a coupled finite element-boundary element method for a model in stationary micromagnetics. The finite element part is based on mixed conforming elements. For two- and three-dimensional settings, we show well-posedness of the discrete problem and present an a priori error analysis for the case of lowest order elements.
